They figured out they can get away with telling customers that consuming 1 quart of oil per 1-2000 miles is "normal." If you search, you'll find that line used by nearly every manufacturer these days.Break it in the way you will ride it. Change the oil at about 50 miles to get the factory shavings out, then just ride it as hard as you want. It's got a chimera intake, kitaco clutch cover, and takagawa oil pump. Had all that since 500miles.
