Gmc sierra speakers not working
My 2005 Sierra has a Bose system but the rear speakers don't work. I noticed that the rear audio control unit doesn't have power and checked that all the fuses are good. I'd like to just remove this unit by bypassing it but can't find a way to do it or an updated wiring diagram. The door chime does not work as well. Has worked off and on for a few days and now it has been out for two days! I have pulled the center console out and checked my connections on the amp and all are good.

So, when a non GM box is installed, you need an adapter to turn off the power to the radio and to provide a circuit for the chimes to work. For the chimes to work, the drivers door speaker needs to be wired into this adapter. I suspect you may have a wiring mess behind the radio. Ray. My buddy took it to his shop today and hooked it to their Tech 2 scan tool and tried to reprogram the Head Unit. They got it to unlock and it shows that it is working, but there is no sound.
